This standard specifies mechanical property requirements for carbon or alloy steel fasteners shown in Table 1 when tested at room temperature (10 to 35°C).

PURPOSE

This standard provides mechanical property requirements for externally-threaded steel fasteners, such as bolts, screws, studs (hereinafter referred to as 'externally-threaded fastener(s)' or ‘fastener(s)') to standardize the quality of fasteners which are shown in Isuzu standards, drawings and specifications, and thus to be used on Isuzu products.

Note 1 This standard is based on JIS B 1051:2014 (ISO 898-1:2013). Differences from JIS (ISO) are shown by dotted underlines.

Note 2 Mechanical property requirements for stainless steel fasteners are provided by ISA-M-008Y, and those for steel nuts by ISA-M-010Y.
